Training Basenjis can be done, but the techniques used must focus on positive reinforcement, distraction, and avoiding situations that are likely to fail. Consistent training on a daily basis will ensure the best results.

  Advice for the Alpha-Challenged   Learn how to be a benevolent "leader of the pack" and have your Basenji love you for it.

  D/C/P (Distract, Command, Praise  D/C/P is a gentle way to remind your dog who is alpha, and a useful technique for focusing your dog away from bad behavior instead of negative consequences.
